these pictures were taken last sunday Dec12,2004 after the auditions for the Piano Festival. We stopped by robinson's ermita for a quick lunch...hunted the shops for an appropriate gift (monito-monita) and had a blast @ our xmas party (CooNians only) it was fun!!! They were all very accomodating and friendly especially to a newbie like me.

1. Bukas...I will meet my teacher for the first time, in the flesh. Bago kami mag-lesson sa monday
2. Piano Audition sa Monday...natatakot ako...matagal na kasi akong di tumutugtog ng classical. Kung meron man eh madadali lang dahil yun yung mga tinuturo ko sa aking students. Kung may mahirap man...di pa ren sing taas nung level ko nung ako'y grumadweyt.
3. I AM A PARANOID ANDROID!!!!
4. PIANO FESTIVAL->mag-au-audition naman mga students ko
5. Umattend ako ng meeting ng coordinators/conductors/presidents para dun sa chorale competition sa sunday...sa totoo lang...ninerbiyos ako. Kasi yung atmosphere nung meeting...MA-PULITIKA!!! Talagang seryoso silang lahat na MANALO!!! Sobra!!! Lahat seryoso.

AT...alam ko na kung sino ang makakalaban namin sa Linggo (YUNG nag-champion, 1st,2nd at 3rd runners up) HALA!

KAMI lang ang di nakasali sa finals...ayayayay!!!! Mga Finalists ang kalaban namen!!!

Ang pinanghahawakan ko na lang ay yung faith ko...GOD WILL SEE ME THROUGH.

Surprise! Surprise!!!

Ang dami ko palang kaibigang nagse-celebrate ng kanilang kaarawan ngayong buwan ng Oktubre!!! As in...parang linggo linggo meron akong binabati ng "happy birthday" at nung nakaraang sunday (Oct.17'04) isa na namang surprise party ang naganap!!! Debut ng isa sa aking mga student turned friend. Costume party yung debut nya...pero shempre wala shang ka-idi-idea. Hehehe...instead of having 18 roses/18 candles...she had 18 songs. Shempre napasabak sa kantahan ang buong barkada at kapamilya na ren.

gumawa ren kami ng video kung saan kinantahan namin sha ng "that's what friends are for" na ala mtv. Meron ding mga interviews na nangyari para mas maging maganda yung kanyang debut. Shempre ang pinakamasarap ay yong pagkain. Pot luck...may nagdala ng drinks, pansit, salad, lumpiang shanghai (my peborit!!!) bukod don meron pang ibang handa tulad ng chicken, pork bbque, menudo...etc.

nahihirapan akong mag-post ng images kasi yung host ko ang bagal...next time ko na alng ilalagay yung mga pics...

Howdy!

It's been a month since my last post and a whole lot happened to dear ol' me. My friend "maita" is now back in school (saint paul university) continuing her piano lessons under the tutelage of Jonathan Coo. In a month, Maita was performing in Paco park. Man!!! Sa totoo lang nainggit ako. Then I heard that Mr. Coo is a board member of the PTGP (Piano Teacher's Guild of The Philippines) and they are inviting the piano teachers to let their students join in the annual PTGP recital this comng December. This is where all good pianists (students and teachers) meet in one recital.
This kind of exposure will be good for my students!!! Yey!!! I'm soo Happy I can't wait to enroll. I was planning to continue my studies at st. scho...kaso with Jonathan Coo teaching at st.paul...I can't pass the oppurtunity to enroll under his class!!! Mahusay talaga sha.

My monitor's busted...wala akong makitang picture...so I'm using my other pc's monitor na sira den dahel super blurred na. Actually wala akong nakikita sa mga tina-type ko ngayon...kaya ipagpaumanhin na lang kung sakaling sa mga susunod na araw ay hindi ako makakapag-update nang aking blog.

Alam ko mami-miss nyo ko...hwehehehe...

Sabado Nights

Last saturday, I met up with Theyie and Marlon. Nag-enjoy talaga ako'ng makasama sila...mas masaya sana kung nilibre mo kami Lon...(hwehehehe). Anyway, it was just what I needed...something to keep my mind off from...being mugged. (hwehehe kaso panay naman ang paalala sa aken ni dogi)

I lost my wallet and cellphone in the process...hay.

Di naman ako hinarass nung cab driver turned mugger...pero nilito nya ako in order to slash my bag at kunin ang mga laman nito nang hindi ko namamalayan. Medyo parang david blane ang ginawa nya sa aken street magic. Nakababa na ako at lahat...hindi ko namalayan na..flat na ang bag ko...nung kelangan ko nang ballpen para sa pagtuturo...ayUN!!! Don ko lang nakita...wala na...wala na ang cell, wallet...even my pen!!! Nanghina talaga ang tuhod ko. Medyo lutang den kasi isip ko nung mga oras na yon dahel iniipon ko yung pang tuition ni kuya ...tapos nawala den!

Wala na ren yung driver...di ko na makita...burado naman yung pangalan at plate number na dapat ay naka-print sa loob ng cab. Talagang napag-interesan nya yung wallet ko at cellphone.

Mahirap na ang buhay ngayon...siguro nangangailangan talaga si "manong" kaya nya nagawa yon.
Sabi nga nila...pag may nawala sa'yo may babalik ng mas madami.

Kaya mga kaibigan...bago na ang cellphone number ko..send ko senyo. :D

MemOiRs

Spent the night crying...not because of loneliness or pain...but because of the overwhelming beauty of the set of mp3s given to me by a good friend, Jeff (man! I owe you one). It made me remember why I took Music as a course while all my friends were taking commerce, mass communication, psychology, etc. It made me remember how I used to sang with all my heart in our chorus class, the glee club concerts that we've staged, the 1st friday masses we've sang to. The way I played the contrabass for the school orchestra, the frequent practice and lessons in CCP, The recitals I've participated, the concerts I've seen. Meeting all those talented artists...it made me remember...how much I love MUSIC...and I just can't control myself I started to weep.

I also remember being part of the church choir leaving it was most painful for me...but I got sick and I have no choice but to quit the choir. Still I do my best to share my love for music in every way I can.


Now just hearing those celestial voices and music...is too much for me... ;) it's too beautiful!!!

Friday the 13th

This date marked 3 of my close friends' birthday...

First...Arnold or NOK...my brother's best friend...he's like a brother to me too. We use to call him our "ampon" (adopted brother). He used to hang out in our place when he was still enjoying his bachelor days. During payday he buys me slippers or sometimes treats us (my kuya and i) to dinner or a half gallon of ice cream. YEY!!! Now he's married and we've accepted his "new family" to our own...hey he's our "ampon" right? So to you my dear brother...hAPpY BirThdaY!!

Second...Thess MY "not so virtual" friend...harharhar. A person I'm really grateful to know and call my friend. She keeps me sane with her "wacky" and positive outlook in life. She's like the big sister I've always wanted. To you..."HaPpY HaPpY BirtHdAy" *embleys*

Third and last...Dulce..She is now married, settled and soon-to-be-mom. To you my dear friend...BEST WISHES and I miss you soo much...too bad I wasn't able to see you off when you left for San Fran...still I know you're VerY happy now. you deserve to be...and I just want you to know that I'll always be here for you!!!

A day in the Life...

Spent the afternoon at rockwell powerplant mall today. Watched "A Cinderella Story" while downing a Subway Melt and jumbo banana smoothie. Ahh...this is the life!

Went to my favorite bookstore (bookwagon) to check on new piano/voice books, had the negatives to last sunday's "suprise birthday party" (which went very well..tenchoo) developed. :)

Taught piano for 2 hours, then attended our church service...

to top it all...my Mom made the best (walastik sa lupet) Chicken sandwhich.

ahhh...this is the life...

Ziggy!

Yesterday....it was Ziggy's turn to be welcomed to the Christian world!!! His Mum Hazel was very kind to invite us to witness this special occasion. The christening was very solemn...and they had free background music. ;)
May wedding kasi sa main chapel...so nung bina-baptize na si Ziggy...may tugtog..."The Prayer".

I really really made an effort to be there...kaya 8am pa lang ng sunday...nagtuturo na ako. Nai-squeeze ko lahat ng students ko..for the morning slot...except ONE. Kaya kailangan kong umuwi sa bahay by 530pm.

Dahil nabitin yung 2 kong kasama...si "ninong Lino" and Joanne...nagkaya-yaan na manood ng sine. Tutal...one hour lang naman ang turo ko eh...so makakabalik na ako agad sa rockwell. Siguro mga 15 minutes bago matapos yung turo ko...tumawag si Joanne...720pm daw yung i, robot. Sabi ko..okay i'll be there!!!
Dumating ako mga 715pm...five minutes before the time. Gusto ko pa sana bumili ng banana smoothie tsaka ng pinatubo sa jamaican patties kaso gahol na sa oras. Swerte ko kasi shinare ni Lino ang kanyang food sa aken...at si Joanne naman Inilibre ako ng SINE!!! wow!!! Jackpot!!! Hwehehe...jahe talaga ako sa'yo Joanne...pero di bale..next time ako ang taya!!!

Habang papunta kami ng Quezon City...wala nang nangyari sa amin kundi ang mawala. Pero nahanap pa ren namin ang aming "way". Haay pagdating talaga sa QC...yung pagiging "navigator" ko eh parang napupunta sa deadspot...wala akong signal. Kaya the whole time na nasa QC kami...naging hobby namin ang maligaw. Enjoy naman kasi masaya ang kwentuhan naming 3. Mas nakilala ko si Lino and Joanne. I'm really thankful for alimasag.com for my NFFs.
Nahihiya pa kami dun kina Hazel kaya siguro di pa nakapag-usap ng matagal...di bale marami pa namang next time.

Ang bilis ng panahon...matatapos na ang July...at darating na ang August...YEY!!!! la lang...just felt like it!

Today...Amanda Isabel S. Moreno  "andie" was welcomed to the christian world!!! I attended her christening...at nakakatuwa dahel kumpleto ang parokya. Ito yung mga pagkakataon na talagang nakakapagsisi na wala akong camerang dala.
 
Anyway...tawa kami ng tawa dun sa isang part na pinalapit nung pari ang mga ninong at ninang at sinabi "ipatong ang inyong mga kamay sa bata"...maya-maya sabi nung pari..."ang sabi ko hawakan ang bata, hindi yung nanay". Hehehe...kahet kelan talaga...ang kukulet ng "parokya". Nakakatuwang makita silang seryoso!
 
Hirap na hirap akong makausap ang "parokya" kasi ang layo nung table nila sa amin...tsaka lahat ng kaibigan ko eh hindi mga "fans". Haay ang hirap...walang tumutulong sa akin para makipag-kilala. Ang busy-busy naman shempre ni Billie sa pag-aasikaso sa mga guests.
Nung huli...di ko na natiis at kinapalan ko na ang mukha ko... nagpa-picture ako kasama si baby Andie, si Mommy Billie and Daddy Dindin...kasama den ang parokya.
Nanghiram lang kami ng camera...kasama ata ni Billie sa opis yung may ari ng cam!...sana ma-develop.

Excited lang ako kasi a-attend ako ng christening ni Baby Andie. Ang first born ni Mr.and Mrs. Dindin Moreno (dakilang taga-tambol ng PniE). Highschool buddy ko ang napangasawa nya, si Billie. Talagang masaya kami nung highschool kaya naman tuwang-tuwa ako para sa kanya, sa kanila. Pinadalhan na nga ako ni Billie ng mga pictures ni "baby andie" and cute cute talaga!!!

Eto naman ang siste...I recieved another invitation from my other friend, 1st birthday naman ng kanyang baby. Haay, gusto ko mang daluhan ang 2 events...di naman ata kaya ng powers ko. Dahil sa nauna ko nang nasagutan yung christening ni "baby andie" dun na ako dadalo, at magpapadala na lang ako ng regalo para naman kay "baby carl".

Haay...dati ang dinadaluhan ko mga children's party naming magka-kaibigan, tapos mga slumber party, soiree, tapos naging mga debut, tapos mga kasal, tapos ngayon kung hindi christening ay mga children's party naman ng mga anak ng kaibigan ko. Hehehe...it's a vicious cycle (GAg me with a spoon!)

Hello Friend part 2

July 1,2004

Woke up really early, 7am which is a feat since i usually doze around 3 in the morning. Today is different than other days...huling hirit namin toh para kay Thess, in a matter of days babalik na sha ng netherlands.

First Stop--> MEGAMALL

Sa tinagal-tagal na ang Megamall sa Pilipinas, biruin mong hindi pa napupuntahan iyon ni Thess. Kaya, minarapat naming i-tour sha sa buong Mega. As in literally BUONG MEGAMALL. Nagsimula kami sa Bldg.B tapos tatawid ng Bldg. A...hahaha...wala kaming nalampasan. Shempre...nakakapagod yun kaya nag-lunch kami. Hindi ko na ide-detalye kung ano-ano ang kinain namen...nagdi-dyeta kasi kami nun!!!

NEXT STOP-->ROCKWELL

Shempre...dun kami sa homecourt namin kung saan at home na at home kami ni Ivy. Sa Rockwell. Mind you, memorize ko den ang megamall dahil dun na ata ako lumaki (lapit kasi sa school ko noon) pero simula ng magawa ang rockwell powerplant mall...other malls fail in comparison. Ewan ko ba...i fell in love with the place I guess. Ganda pa ng cinema dun.
At dun namin mi-neet si joanne at sama-sama kaming nanood ng spiderman2!!!
After that, nag-window shop pa kami at naghanap ng diamond ring sa halagang 200php. Ayos den naman itong si Joanne, may balak pa atang makipag-tawaran sa mga shops dun. (hehehe, gawin bang ongpin ang rockwell? love yah jo). I really hope Thess had fun that day coz I did (tsaka sa tingin ko ganun den yung 2 gurlz na kasama ko). I also want to Thank her for taking the time to be with us all. Kahet 3 weeks lang sha dito nai-singit nya pang makipag-kita sa amin dito!!! :D

NEXT STOP-->BETTERLIVING

Joanne invited us to have dinner at her place...dahil ayoko pang tapusin ang araw na iyon, Game na game akong sumama. Sarap naman dun kina Joanne...nakakatuwa. Asikasong-asikaso kami.
Shempre kainan, kwentuhan, kainan, kwentuhan...yun naubos ang lakas namin dun!!!
Mga 130am of July 2, 2004 na ata nung naisipan naming magsi-uwian na. Bait naman talaga ni Joanne at hinatid pa kaming isa-isa.

Sinulit talaga namin yung day na yon to be with Thess, Gurl bonding kaming 4. Ngayon I feel closer not only to Thess but also to Joanne and Ivy.

Ayus talaga...i say it's for the books.

and then again...no goodbyes instead i say "HELLO FRIenDS"

BLOW OUT!!!

One week delayed...Last Sunday July 4,2004 umalis kami ng aking choir para manood ng spiderman2. Maaga kaming umalis ni kuya kasi bibili pa ako ng tickets. The night before...ang nag-confirm na sasama ay 11...plus kami ni Kuya...that makes 13. Sige pila ako sa napaka-habang pila sa robs mla sa cinema1 kasi yun ang pinakamalaki at maganda dolby surround sound. Since madami kami...di kaya ng budget ko ang sine sa rockwell kaya robs kami. Treat ko ito sa kanila, dahel sa pagsali nila sa recital ko. I appreciate their time and efforts to share their talents. Kaya, eto nanlibre ako.

Around 415pm dumating na yung mga kasama ko..."voices" kaso...uhm...6 lang sila. O well yung 5 pala eh hindi na makakasama...ang siste nakabili na ako ng tickets. Sayang naman yung 5 tickets na yun...tsaka sana sinabi nila agad sa akin para naman hindi na kami naabala.
At kung nalaman ko lang na 6 lang ang pupunta eh di sana mas nakanood kami sa mas magandang sinehan...walang mahabang pila, hindi SRO...haay. Buti na lang naibenta pa ni Kuya yung 5 tickets! YEY!

Sometimes...when people give me the reason "nahihiya kasi ako sa'yo" i find it sooo lame. Mas ma-a-appreciate ko pa kung sasabihin mo sa akin yung totoo. Parang gan'to yon eh...may taong may utang sa'yo...tapos di ka pa niya binabayaran...tapos later on di ka na ren nya papansinin...tapos malalaman mo ang reason nya kung baket ilag sha sa 'yo is "nihihiya kasi ako sa'yo, di pa ako nakakapag-bayad". Diba mas nakakhiya yung ginagawa nya ngayon?

Minsan, ang mga tao...wala sa lugar ang pagiging "mahiyain".

Enough said. Closed book.

Moving on...masaya pa rin yung naging "date" ko with my choir, we ate at chef d'angelo--> pizza, pasta, chicken, iced tea...tsaaalaap...yumyumyum nagugutom ata ulet ako. Then we went to see spiderman2 (na 2nd time ko nang pinanood, 1st time was with thess,joanne and ivy) pero dahel sa gusto ko yung story, shempre ayun inulit ko!
The movie ended around 730pm so may time pa kami para mag-window shopping...tapos nag snacks kami sa mcdonald's. Hehehe...ang takaw ba? feeling ko nun di pa natutunaw lahat ng kinain ko last july1...eh eto na naman ako...kumakain Haay!!! Anyway, nung busog na ang lahat at masaya na...nag-uwian na kami. Hinatid ko yung anim sa sakayan ng jeep,masaya ako dahil nakasama ko ulet yung choir...halos mag-2 months na ren kaming walang practice...siguro by august magre-resume na kami!!!

Hello Friend!!!

I remember it quite well...I got an sms from Ivy saying "umuwi na ata si thess"...and i went straight to my computer...and visited thess' blog.
There it was...Marge Simpson...winking...and a little airplane...at the bottom...Oh My God...She's Coming HOME!!!

The next few days...well...I was really waiting for Thess to call me on my cellphone...I was surprised to recieve an SMS from her. Too bad I was at the bank that time (can't use cellphones inside). So I quickly went outside and texted her right back...!!! I promised to call her as soon as i get home.

Next Day Thess called me...!!! And so it starts...THE GAB FEST hahahaha...it seems so natural for me to just talk and talk and talk to her...and turns out our parents know each other...it's a small world after all That day...she already wanted to meet some of her friends (walang jetlag ang bruha)but she decided later on that it'll be better if we do it on a friday so everyone's pretty done with work.

FRIDAY JUNE18,2004
This is the day she chose for all of us to meet. 530pm...i picked her up. We were inside the cab, when she took out a wooden shoe from her bag and said "this is for you...winner ka para sa akin eh" WAAAAA!!!! And I did...I felt like a winner!!! And then she gave me...vanilla flavored-incense(now my room smells of vanilla). We went straight to Oodys at GB3. We reserved a table for 12...dami no? Lahat kasi ng ininvite nya darating :D soon...Lino came. He cancelled his previous engagement just to be with Thess that night (lakas talaga nitong si Thess o.) Then, Jethro came (straight from sta.rosa laguna...)then Fiona came, Joanne and Jeff (they came together..not to our surprise...yihiii)Wabi and rei, aves and Kim, Ivy and lastly Ronnie and Marlon. All these people came from different places mostly from work. some absented from work just to be with Thess. Just goes to show how special she is to all of us. ;)
And so...we ate, and, laughed, and ate, and laughed even more...it was really really FUN. It was one of those days that I hope would never end. Thess gave each of us "pasalubong". I was touched really...coz she really didn't have to. Just seeing her with us is enough for me...kaya Thess Tenchoooooooooooo!!!!! So..ispeysyal den kami para sa kanya. :D

RED BOX
Aves and Kim left earlier cause they still have an early class tomorrow (our group's doctors) so for a nightcap we went to Res Box...and sang the night away!!!! My, my, my what a talented group we are!!! Meron kaming ala Keith Martin ang boses through Jethro, Michael Buble through Jeff, Christian Bautista through Lino, Linkin Park through Ronnie and Marlon...sa mga babes naman was a variety of artists!!! Thess sang for us...ang danda ng boses!!!! :D
I liked Ronnie and Thess' duet "I Finally Found Someone"...coz it reminded me of the movie "the Mirror has 2 faces". Bravo! Bravo!
We were all so comfy with each other...Jethro even danced for us!!!! hahaha...may future sa dancing!!!
For our last number...Fiona, Ivy and I...sang "basang-basa sa Ulan".

It was a night of fun.
I didn't want to say goodbye cause I know...true friends don't say goodbye...so instead i say..."hello friend"

IT HURTS!

I've been experiencing some pains in my hips and lower back...i called our reflexologist...but to no avail. I'm thinking maybe I got this from sleeping at the wrong side of the bed, or after playing badminton last week...and then My mom said i'd better go to a doctor for checkup...this might not be some muscle pain thingy...might be something internal.

I hope my mom's wrong...but I am going to the doctor tomorrow...i want to know..

Things learned from
intergender friendships

THE PREMISE of this article lies on the principle that sometimes, loving a person doesn't mean it has to be romantic and loving a person for the rest of your life doesn't mean you have to end up marrying them. Can a man and a woman just be friends? I'd say yes and they should be.

Hindi dahil kinaibigan ka, liligawan ka na. Not every guy who befriends you has an ulterior motive. Get over yourself. Don't flatter yourself. There is a reason why he befriended you, but don't automatically assume that it's because he wants to be your so-called boyfriend. If this will be the principle you'll follow every time someone asks you to be his friend, you're gonna miss a great deal from the friendship.

Hindi dahil mabait sa iyo, nililigawan ka na. There are people who are naturally sweet and kind. There are people who are innately good and no matter how wicked you seem, they just find it so easy to be kind to you. It doesn't mean he is courting you. Don't put yourself through unnecessary stress trying to figure out if he's courting you or not. Because I think if he is, you won't have to guess, you'll know and you'll be very certain about it.

Hindi dahil he talks to you a lot, he loves you na. You don't befriend a person if you absolutely abhor him, right? Chances are you make sense when he talks to you, or you're probably very patient listening to him. The two of you probably connect on some level but why does it always have to be assumed to be romantic? Being two intelligent, mature human beings, you need to accept that it's nice to share a cup of coffee over a stimulating conversation, and that you don't have to automatically put romantic connotation to it. Relieve yourself of the pressure. It's just coffee and a shared interest.

Hindi dahil cute ang friend mo, crush/love mo na siya. This is the most amusing thing that hit me lately. People always assume that because your friend is cute or should I say, hot (because cute is a word you describe your high school crush while hot is a word you use to describe a hunk), "lakas amats mo na for repapips!" Let me just say this, at least from my own personal experience, I'm just nearsighted, I haven't gone blind. I can still appreciate God's creation! However, there will always be weird things, crazy things, stupid things that will keep you, believe me, from having a crush on him. First of all, you'd know his history with women, enough to judge what's good for you. Second, don't you just hate it when a guy who's absolutely always put together, who looks intelligent enough pronounces the word country as "kawntri" and the word mango as "meynggo." Call me crazy for judging a person just because he can't pronounce these words right. I admit, I'm crazy.

Hindi dahil you hang out with each other most of the time, you'd end up being boyfriend-girlfriend. Self-explanatory... There are a thousand, no million different reasons why things don't always turn out that way. There is no one proven formula. For all we know, the reason why he likes hanging out with you is because he likes getting kikay tips from you. He probably plans on being kikay himself and he needs a mentor.

A dinner with a guy friend does not necessarily mean equate to a date. Especially if you're paying for your share no. Hello? Three things to consider: the place, the topic and how the two of you actually planned to meet. First, how it was planned. If it were a date expect that he would ask you out at least three days before the actual date to give you some lead time, to give you the notion that you are not just a filler on his schedule. Second, the place. If it were a real date, the both of you would want real food and a place where you could really talk things through. Don't go out with a guy to a movie on Friday night if you're really serious about him. Going to a movie is more like treating him like a "filler" just because you had nothing to do on a Friday night so you might as well go out. Topic. Ha! You wouldn't be talking about chikang artista, chikang opisina or argue if the one girl's boobs are real or not. You would be probably talking about sensible, quite personal stuff.

I therefore conclude that platonic relationships are never complicated; people just have tendencies to complicate them.

Can't agree with her more...though her article's one sided...I say it's the same for you GUYS. ;)

A Night To Remember

Last night...nagsama-sama ang mga alimasags para makita at magsalo-salo sa pagdating nang aming mahal na DATU!!! YEY!!! TInik is back in MANILA (ayus ba? parang tag line nang isang sikat na concert)

pina-unlakan nya kaming makasama siya kahit super duper hectic ng kanyang 3 week vacation sa 'pinas..kaya naman tuwang-tuwa kaming makasama sha!

Nauna kami ni Rye sa venue...dahil alam kong mabilis mapuno duon sa super bowl. Medyo madami nga lang naligaw papunta dun dahel tago yung way papunta dun (parang Leaky Couldron sa Harry Potter ang dating nung passage) di mahahanap agad kung hindi mo rin lang alam kung san at ano'ng hahanapin.

Shempre naman...unti-unting nagsi-datingan ang mga crabbarios. At muli may mga bagong mukha sa likod ng avatar ang nakita't nakilala ko nung gabing yon. Si Datu Tinik, Chiqui, Orthej, Mokong, Utoyski, Acid Burn...mga bagong "kita" pero gaya den nung iba kong naka-eb...parang matagal na kaming magka-kaibigang ngayon lang ulet nagkita at nagkasama-sama.

Masaya ang gabing yon...at shempre para sa mga ganitong pagkakataon...mahalaga ang "KODAK MOMENT"

Harry Potter 3

Yep...HP3 talaga..as in 3 beses ko shang pinanood, and after seeing it for three times kung may magyayaya pa sa aking manuod nito...sasama ulet ako. I liked it. Yung style ni Cuaron...maganda. Tsaka di mashado "heroic" ang dating ni Harry dito...mas tao sha dito sa 3rd picture/book. Although...meron pa ring parts na sana naisama dun...tulad nung mga flashback (para maintindihan nung mga tao kung bakit ganun na lang ang bigat ng loob ni Prof. Snape kay Harry, yung lalim ng friendship nila Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs...at marami pang iba) Still...i like the way alfonso Cuaron directed the movie. Maayos...lalo na yung cgi nung hippogriff na si "buckbeak".

anyway...masaya ako kasi may pasalubong sa akin si Mark (my piano student) from his trip to Hong Kong...hwehehehe...isang audio cd nung 1st 4 books ng harry potter!!!! I na-narrate yung story according to the book!!! Sayang nga eh...akala ko mga boses den nila Danielle Radcliffe(Harry), Emma Wattso(Hermione), Rupert Grint(Ron) ang maririnig ko. Still it's a nice pasalubong...can't wait for monday to come.

Sa ngayon...wala akong ginagawa mashado...kundi kumain at matulog. Kaya napag-isip isip ko...it's time to go back to my One and ONLY sport...Badminton.

Beh...see yah tomorrow!!!! :)

Growing...apart

Last wednesday...Ivy and I went to rockwell...watched a movie and just went malling...no more likely had a coffee and lots of conversation. Napag-usapan namin yung 2 tao na tinuturing kong bes (tawagan naming mag-bepren) na kahet ano pa man ang gawin ko...lalo na kay joyleen...mukhang tama nga si Ivy...we have grown apart.
Malungkot man isipin...na dati...partner in crime ko sha...dakilang sidekick at talaga namang sobrang saya namin nung college...pero ngayon...tama...di ko na sha kilala at di ko na ren makita yung bes ko.
Nalulungkot ako sa nangyari...pero masaya na ren kahet papaano kasi meron akong mga bagong kaibigan...na sa tingin ko naman ay bes material den...but that will take time and effort...something na nawala na kay joyleen para sa akin.
Yung isa ko namang bes her name i choose not to mention here...basta alam den ni Ivy...sa tingin ko..tama din sha (Ivy) Siguro mashao lang akong nanghawak dun sa friendship na hindi ko kaagad nakita yung totoong ugali ni bes

O well...what's good is that I've realized all these and okay na ako.

Music Of The Night

May 28,2004 marks my 5th year students' recital aptly entitled "Perfect Fifth" held at The cultural Arts Hall, Cultural Arts Building St. Paul College of Pasig.
I woke up early around 7 a.m. despite staying up late (I slept around 3 a.m. finishing my memorabilia)
I got a lot of calls from parents (mga last minute faqs. I kept on going over my checklist-at ayun na nga meron akong na-miss -->WALA PA AKONG ISUSUOT!Nakalimutan ko! I went to robs mla and bought a dress (buti na lang may nahanap ako). Haay salamat! I stopped by the supermarket to buy paper plates, drinks, etc. para dun sa handa mamaya. Okay na ang lahat...YEY!!!
When I got home everything's set! Nagaw na ni Nanay yung chicken sandwiches, nahanda na ni Kuya yung cooler na lalagyan ng drinks, nakaluto na ren si Nanay ng lunch. Kalmado naman ako-nakakain pa ren kahet paano.unti-unti nang nagsidatingan ang mga members ng choir after a couple of minutes kumpleto na kami! I called my niece on her cellphone (sa kanila kasi yung van)na okay na ang lahat. And so...we took off..St.Paul Pasig here we come!!!!

Pagdating namin sa St.Paul tuloy-tuloy na ang pag-re-rehearse ko sa kanila.
5:45pm all in na ang mga bata-in 5 minutes mag-u-umpisa na yung recital. I went out of the theater to check kung may mga bata pa sa dressing room-and sino ang makikita ko sa corridor...si Joanne, Lino and Chris!!! Hay! I was really happy to see them akala ko male-late sila di nila mapapanuod yung unang number "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Turned out they came just in time!!!

Inumpisahan na ang recital at maayos namang natapos. Paborito ng crowd si Winnie Wong with her rendition of "Ballade Pour Adeline" ganon din si Lawrence Chang qith his "Sonata in C by W.A.Mozart" ang "Tristesse by F. Chopin". Ako bukod dun sa mga magagling na song numbers meron din ako fave part dun sa recital-yung pagtugtog ni Edmond, Edric and pagkanta ni Jillian na pare-parehong may dyslexia. Nakakatuwa na makita silang nagpe-perform. They pulled it off quite well!!! Bravo!!!Bravo!!!
Ayoko man silang purihin (dahil baka sabihing nag-a-angat ako ng sarili kong bangko)i feel they deserve the credit. Also i want to thank ALL THE RECITALISTS for a job well done. YOU ALL MADE ME PROUD!!! (pengeng tissue)
masaya naman yung "picture taker para ma-remember" namin. At para dun sa 3 kong crabbarios (Joanne, Lino and Chris) Thank YOu Sooo MUCH!

One week den akong nanahimik sa pagba-blog-medyo lo batt kasi ako. Napagod ata ako ng husto sa recital. Isang taon ding pagpa-plano, at paghahanda ang ginawa naming ng mga bata-to my students thank you it's been a great year!!!

I offer all these to God for showering me with soo much blessings, a good life, a great family, fab friends and most of all talents that I can share with my young wards. Mwah~mwah~mwah~

OTLUM

Matagal ko nang gustong isulat ito...ewan ko ba kung baket hindi natutuloy. Sa wakas my dear fwends...eto na...OTLUM

Year 1990 nung umalis kami sa aming ancestral house (naks! Parang mansyon ang dating) at lumipat sa kanto ng hernandez at kasarinlan st. Sa silong lang ang inupahan nila "Mama at Papa"...hwehehe...2 ang kwarto...bungalow. Okay naman dahel malaki ang garden at banyo.
Ang landlord namen sa "taas" nakatira...hermit sha. Minsan lang lumabas. May mga pagkakataong sobra ang pagkagulat ko kasi di namen nararamdaman ang kilos nya...tapos andun na pala sa gilid mo. Kaya nabansagan namin shang "OTLUM".
Nanirahan kami sa kantong iyon ng hernandez at kasarinlan sa loob ng 10 taon.

Year 2000 ng November lumipat kami sa tapat na apartment (kung saan kami naninirahan ngayon) Medyo nahirapan akong mag-adjust sa layo ng nilipatan namen. (hwehehe) Sa paglipat namin...ang dating masaya at magulong silong sa tapat na kanto ng hernandez at kasarinlan ay nanahimik.

Tuloy ang gulong ng buhay...paminsan-minsan nate-tyempuhan ko si "OTLUM" na lumalabas at bumibili ng ulam, nag-i-igib ng tubig.
Last thursday...may naamoy si Kuya Garry at Kuya Toto (aking kinakapatid) na "amoy patay na daga" sa daan malapit sa kanto...(nakatira si Kuya Toto sa tabi nang lumang bahay). Naisip nila...malamang nalunod yung daga sa lakas ng ulan at namatay sa imburnal.
Pagdating ng sabado...despedida sa bahay nila Kuya Toto...aalis na sha at ang buong pamilya papuntang Canada...pero di maipagkakaila...ang amoy...andun pa ren...mas malakas. Di na natiis pa...naisip ni Kuya Toto na baka sa lumang bahay (dati naming tinitirhan) naroon ang daga.
Inakyat nya ang bahay ni "OTLUM" kinatok...at sa kanyang pag-pasok...bumulaga ang malungkot na katotohanan...

Si "OTLUM" ay wala na...nag-de-decompose na ang katawan nya nung makita ni Kuya Toto...dali-daling tumawag sa funeraria. Di na sha binurol...crinemate na lamang...at ngayon naisip ko...ang hirap mabuhay ng mag-isa...malungkot hanggang sa huli.

Sa umaga ko lang tinatanaw ang luma naming bahay...kasama sa masasaya at nakaktuwang ala-ala naming pamilya ang aming kani-kaniyang eksperyensa sa pagkagulat kay "OTLUM"...sumalangit nawa ang yong kaluluwa.

LA lang...

I'm not in the mood...for anything but I felt the need to vent so..here goes

"wala lang" is my term for doing things that I don't feel the need to explain myself. Let's blame it on the weather...or my hormones WHATEVER! "Wala lang".

I might go out and watch a movie tonight...i need a break...

CUT,COPY,and PASTE!

"VOICES" choir members spent a good 3 hours of cutting, copying (each other's style and design...hwehehe) and pasting their costumes for my may28 recital. They will stand as the trees and do back-up vocals for my voice students' production number "THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT".

Hwahaha...sobra...kalat na naman sa bahay. pero masaya pa ren..pagandahan sila ng mga "trees" nila. Hwehehe...kakatuwa...sumakit ata tiyan ko sa kakatawa. After that we practiced (a little) and ate (a lot :D)

Last Sunday May16,2004 some members of "voices" (Our church's show choir-->taught by Me..) went out to have our pictures taken. We were supposed to go to rockwell which is nearest our place...but the studio only allows 3-5 people in one group picture. Eh...13 kaya kaming lahat?!? Anyway...we agreed to go to rob's place manila instead. We had our pictures taken at Great Image studio...not really posh-posh studio...but what the heck...we had F-U-N!!!
I need the pictures for my recital's souvenir programme. I included them in my recital. So those who will watch my recital will get to hear and see them perform. (Pressure...pressure)

ISM Dance Recital

Just got home from ISM...where I watched some of my students perform in their "dance Recital". It was really Kyna( a student of mine) who invited me. The first dance was by ISM Dance co. and they danced to Josh Groban's "you raise Me Up"!!! Ang galing-galing...they had a guest dancer an alumna who is now hosting disney channel "nikki muller". Ang galing ng sayaw...i almost cried...nadala na ako sa sayaw..pati sa boses ni Josh! Ay sus!

Then...I watched my students namely Kyna, Winnie and cindy do their stuffs on stage. Nakakatuwa...tsaka..naisip ko...iba talaga kapag "privilideged" lahat mapag-a-aralan.It was a good show.

After the show...Kyna's family and I together with teacher Roy (Kyna's dance teacher)had dinner at zong's...tsalap lalo na kapag libre.

Then they dropped me at glorietta where I got a cab and went home.

Election Day and HERMES is HOME!!!

I got up really early today to vote...cause i have to teach right after! Hahaha...sobra todo arangkada sa pagta-trabaho! Wala mashadong cabs na buma-biyahe
kaya pinakaiusapan ko si Kuya Garry (na may halo deng "blackmail" hehehe) na ihatid ako sa Corinthian Gardens in Ortigas. My mom came with us...gustong mag-joyride. On our way..napadaan sila sa Gloria Jeans Cafe (ang EuREKA..) naisip ko tutal one hour lang naman ako sa Corinthians...ba't di na lang nila ako antayin sa gloria Jeans at sunduin?

Proposed i Did...and...they fell for it! Hook, Line and sinker (kaso ako nagbayad ng breakfast nila) :( mga wise den! After teaching...we all decided to visit Hermes (my shih tzu) at the Makati Dog and Cat Hospital. Sabi nung attending Vet na si Dr. Carlos...Hermes'had UTI (urinary track infection) di naman daw ma-pin-point kung ano yung cause kasi madami daw. Para ding sa tao...kung minsan nagkaka-UTI na madaming pwedeng cause non. Anyway, what the doctor said was the real real GOOD NEWS Hermes' ready to be discharged!!!! YEY!!!! So, Dr. Carlos gave some prescriptions, after that...inayos na ren yung bill ni Hermes.

Okay....ang mahal ng bill. DI ko na ilalagay ang figures. Basta, mahal (kasi kung hindi mahal...di ko i-indahen) pero okay lang basta maayos ang lagay ni Hermes!!! After paying...we went to the drugstore just beside the hospital for Hermes' needs. Ang sigla-sigla na ni Hermes...sabi nga nung mga nurses don (o diba? Ospital na ospital) uwing-uwi na si Hermes. Sa drugstore...nagti-tinda ren ng mga apparel at kung ano pang ka-ek-ekean para sa mga pets. And...I got Hermes some boots!!!! YEY!!!
We tried it on her...she looked so cute with those brown boots. Pang lakad nya para maiwasang madumihan ang paa...kasi dine-worm den si Hermes. Meron deng worm na nakita.

O well...Hermes' home now...and I feel "complete" again. Na-miss ko yung alaga kowe.

RECITAL VENUE

HAAAAAAAAAYYYY...this will explain why I am in turmoil!!!....After telling all the parents and all my guests that the recital date and venue's been moved from may21,2004 6pm stpaulpasig to may28,2004 csb theater...I GOT A CALL...actually 2 calls in 1 day!

1. From Sister Cora (of stpaul) saying the theater is now open...so if I'm still looking for a venue...okay na ulet sa pasig
--> sa aken...ayoko na mag-palit-palit pa...nasabi ko na sa lahat na csb so...i just thanked sister cora and told her that i've already booked dlsu-csb's theater.

2. From DLSU-CSB...Mr. Soriano (head of the teather..etchos etchos blah-blah-blah-blah) saying he is sorry but the CSB theater is not available on the 28th cause the college will use it fro the freshmen orientation.

---> Nyek...pagkatapos kong tumanggi kay sister ito naman makukuha ko. So I explained to Mr. Soriano that the recital will be at 6pm pa naman...wala naman na sigurong klase non. So, okay...kaso he will charge 5k per hour at walang libreng set up rehearsal....so mga 7hrs ang dapat kong bayaran.

HELLO!!!! I charge my students 1,200php per participant...just enough to pay for the costs of the venue, printing of programmes, certificates, tsaka yung medals and trophies.

MAG-A-ABONO pa ako kung sakali...so I have no other choice but to book STPAUL PASIG's Arts Hall again....

at sana...this time wala nang aberyang mangyari....

sobra...nape-pressure ako!!! Harrassed even.

Hermes confined

Last night...nag-vomit si Hermes...pero konting konti lang...so i thought baka...napadami ng kain. Kaso today...during breakfast and lunch...after eating nag-poo si Hermes...wet. Hindi maganda. I cancelled all my classes today and rushed her to the vet. Dinextrose na si Hermes at ngayon naka-confine sa Makati Dog and Cat Hospital sa gilid lang ng rockwell.
I called around 6pm to check on her...sabi nung vet...it can be 3 things: option 1.worms 2. something she ate 3. parvo.....I Hope it's not parvo...kasi...mahirap yung virus na yon. I've lost 4 dogs to parvo....ayokong isiping may parvo si Hermes.

Bukas 10am sabi nung vet tumawag daw ulet ako sa clinic.....

I'm saaaddd...and worried....

ang inuna ko ay...maglinis ng maglinis (inabot ng araw ang general cleaning) na hindi halata dahel magulo pa ren ang bahay nung nagsidatingan ang aking mga bisita sa aming "mansyon" hwehehe.

Next...MENU!!! Dahel gagawa naman na si Fiona ng sisig...I decided to cook my own ispeyshalty...ISTAPEGI!

Then...shempre...inihanda ko ang materials (baket pa sa amin magpupuntahan kung hindi ren magpa-praktis...tsaka...seryoso nga ako sa pagkanta) --> Ei...Z!!! kelangang pakantahin mo kami...no pressure ;)
I prepared 2 songs...fisrt one would be for the couple 1. I'll Never Say Goodbye theme from "the Promise" 2. The Lion Sleeps Tonight--> this would be for Zizzy'z Baby :). Photocopied 10 copies! Okay... :)

When friday came...hinanda ko na ren ang videoke...at niluto na ang istapegi. Madami ang nag-text na male-late...kaya naman may oras pa ako para magpahinga. Finally...I got an SMS from Lino saying he's in Jollibee...so I went there to meet him and soon enough the others came. Sumunod Kay Lino si Aves and Kim, then si Ronnie, Marlon and the two Jeffs. I'll call them Jeff1-->Bombero and Jeff2-->toink. SO, ayun...nag-convoy na kami papasok sa aming "village" hwehehe...pagdating namin sa bahay nandun na si Kuya Garry, who just came home from a church meeting (na dapat andun den ako pero nag-absent na lang). Pinapasok ko na sila sa loob at...shempre pa...binigyan na sila ng mga kopya ng kanta. Dumating na ren agad si ivy...pwede nang mag-umpisa.

Praktis agad!!! I really don't want to waste anyone's time...tsaka naja-jahe den kasi ako kay aves eh...alam ko kasi super pagod na sila. Okay...ang ganda ng boses ni Aves...tamang-tama dahel sha lang ang soprano at that time. posh-pies and skyefio were still in the office then. Tinuro ko lang muna each voice para dun sa 1st song...medyo mahirap kasi. Then we proceeded to the next song...Hala...tawa sila ng tawa...mukhang nag-enjoy naman kumanta ng "Wim-O-Weh"...hahaha...it was a fun song.

After the practice...Aves and Kim had to leave early cause they still have to study and get some sleep and then work...so...ayun...maaga sila umuwi pero bago namen (muntik) makalimutan...shempre kumuha muna kami ng souvenir pic...na-extra pa yung alaga kong shih tzu na si Hermes.

Shempre...kainan na....ang sarap nung sisig talaga ni fiona...with matching sizzling plate pa...yuuummmy!!!
Mukhang nabusog naman ang aking mga bisita...pero mga tsong sa susunod ...magpa-inom naman kayo...(kahet tig-i-isa lang shot) madaan sana kayo sa kantyaw hwehehe... ;)

Ang sumunod....walang katapusang kantahan. Lahat kumanta...panalo rendition ni Lino ng "you're still you". Si Marlon naman bumanat ng "Perfect" by Simple Plan...aba...may talent pala...eh kaboses nya kasi yung vocalist nung band na yon....Ang isa sa paborito kong kanta eh yung kinanta ni ROnnie na "i'm a Dick...I'm A Dick...I'm ADDICTED TO YOU"...hwahaha....that was a good one!!!! Pero kidding aside...ang saya nun ah...kahet may konting asaran...wala namang pikunan kaya okay na okay.

2 ang bagong mukhang nakita ko nung gabing yon...si Bombero (jeff1) and toink (jeff2). Nakaktuwa naman si Jeff1 kasi he really made it a point to talk to us all and get to know all of us better...kaya parang matagal ko na shang kakilala. ;)

Nung natapos na ang eb...nag-convoy kami para ma-guide sina Lino palabas ng "village"...hwehehe...kaso tuwing tatanungin ni Kuya Garry kung alam na nya yung daan...laging "di pa eh" ang sagot ni Lino. We were joking inside the car...sabi ko nga "baka di naten namamalayan papasok na pala tayo ng cavite"...hwehehe...shempre di naman nangyari yon dahel pagdating ng South Super Highway eh nag-hiwalay na ren kami...at hinated naman namen si Jeff1 sa p.gil na malapit na malapit kung saan sha nakatira. After that, hinated naemn ni Kuya si posh, skye and rye...este...ayir, fiona and ivy sa kani-kanilang bahay. It was ONE GREAT NIGHT...come to think of it...2 araw na namang inabot yung eb...

I am soooo comfortable with my alimasag buddies...na i offered my house for practice venue...kasi...pag maga kaibigan mo ang darating (kahet maliit ang bahay) okay lang...kasi mga kaibigan ko sila. And...sa totoo lang...i hope they see and feel that I am their friend too.

hwehehe...napa-drama tuloy ako...KUYA BANANA...mukhang magkakaroon ka ng katapat sa drama...;)

INFESTED!!!

Last night I got a call from Sister Corazon Querubin, spc telling me that they've found out that the cultural arts hall (where I am going to hold my students' recital) IS TERMITE INFESTED and they would need some "termite treatment" and the theater will re-open in June.

Hindi pwedeng i-move ang recital to June kasi summer vacation na ng mga students ko yon...most of them will be out of the country.

I spent the whole afternoon calling different venues...nakow!!! Fully booked na ang lahat for the month of May.
Although may isang theater na available sa May 28, 2004...College Of Saint Benilde (yung nasa tapat ng La Salle Taft)...I just hope my students are available on that day too...

i'll keep my fingers crossed

THE PIANO PLAYER...

i just watched Maksim Mrvica's concert. ANg galing galing talaga...I cried while watching...sobra kasi...ang lupeeet!!! Ang galing galing talaga. My student gave me two tickets to the show...(worth 1,800php each) kaya di ko na pinalampas yung pagkakataon sinama ko na si Kuya Garry...wow!!! Ang galing galing galing talaga...and he's so kewl!!!

Perfect Fifth

Musically speaking...Perfect Fifth (P5) is an interval of 5. (C-G)...the second most important harmonic interval. Since, it is my fifth year of staging recitals...I decided to entitle this year's recital as such. :)
The shows repertoire consists of Classical music ( both piano and voice) and Love Songs!!! I'm inviting my fellow bloggers and crabbies to watch the show. It's gonna be held at The Cultural Arts Hall 3f CA Buliding, St. Paul College of Pasig 6pm.

Free admission shempre...kaya sana makapunta mga ka-barrio!!! :)

Coconut Palace

Last thursday...april 15, 2004 I attended my friend's (from the conservatory-->Vanessa) wedding at the Coconut Palace. It was my first time to attend a christian wedding. Ganda...lalo na yung effect ng sunset...(o well, yun naman talaga ang binabayaran dun). I taught the choir (mga kaibigan nya ren sa church...) tapos yung isa kong friend (also from the Conservatory--> HoneyGirl) na mahusay talagang kumanta ang soloist. Nakaka-iyak...sa tuwa. Kasi alam ko na Van is happy. Naiyak ako nung nakita ko na sha...naglalakad sa aisle. Tapos kumakanta si Honey ng "Ikaw". Sobra!!!

Anyway...saya naman nung wedding...they went off to Thailand for their honeymoon. :)

After the wedding I went home...and...nag-practice kami nung choir ko. :) Ang ganda na..buo na namin yung isang kanta. This week mag-a-aral ulet kami ng bagong piece.

Late afternoon bummer

I got up really early this morning...around 4:30a.m. by 5a.m. my whole family and I are on our way to BLUE WAVE...it's in the new Diosdado Macapagal Ave. My dad wants to walk by the newly built park...shempre para makasagap ng fresh air. Malapit den kasi sa tabing dagat eh. I brought my shih tzu named Hermes (after the designer) with me. So we were strolling along. By 6a.m. medyo napagod na si tatay kaya nag-breakfast na lang kami sa Jolibee (meron den dun malapit) Around 7:30a.m. nakauwi na kami sa bahay. I got a call from Ivy confirming our badminton game at 9a.m.

9a.m. I was at the badminton court...Ivy, Ria, MJ and I had a great great fun fun game!!! We walked back home since the place is just walking distance...okay na ren...para mag "cool down". When I got home...I was pretty exhausted...ang inet inet kasi...I changed my clothes...then pagpasok ko sa room...WHOA super lamig...I had to leave the room...mahirap na eh...baka magkasakit ako.

I went downstairs para dun muna sa sala magpatuyo ng pawis...kaso ang inet inet...di na ata tumigil pawis ko. Naglagay na nga ako ng makapal na tuwalya.
Di ko na nakayanan ang init...ang sakit sakit pa nang ulo ko. May turo pa ako ng 4p.m....I went up to my room. I tried to sleep...to no avail...i dozed off while reading some magazine i snatched on my way up. By 3p.m. my alarm was ringing...I have to get up...but i can't my head was spinning and I have this splitting headache i just had to cancel my afternoon class.

Then to my surprise (and utter disgust) I got sick...WAAAA...WAAA...
TInawagan ko agad yung reflexologist namen...buti na lang available sha today...I drank paracetamol and tried (herculean effort) to take a nap...(na wala reng nangyari...dahel nag-alimasag ako...tsaka namili ng bagong kanta for my blog)
Dumating around 6:30p.m. si Ate Aida (reflexologist) at ayun...naginhawaan na ren ako...I'm feeling much much better now. Hope I can resume working tomorrow.

Waah...nasayang afternoon ko...

health IS wealth

SISIG FEST!!!

Last thursday (my last day of teaching...for the Holy week)...at exactly 6:30pm I was at Fiona's house...waiting for Ivy, Ayir,Zulien and Jana to come. It was the day for Fiona's SISIG FEST!!! And when Fiona said "sisig fest" of course i expected there'll be sisig...pero...nagulat ako...ang dami-dami talaga!!! Talagang SISIG FEST!!! at ang sarap sarap (nauna kami ni ivy kumain...) hindi halatang gutom!!!

After eating...isinalang na ang videoke cds at...hayun...kumanta kami (este...ako...mostly ako)...shempre ang final song namen..."basang-basa sa ulan" by aegis.

It was a great night...

I have to thank Fiona for being such a great hostess and cook...tsaka kay kuya jojo (na long lost friend pala ni kuya Garry) For being so accommodating. Eh laging napalak-pak eh...kuya Jojo sa susunod mong pag-uwi from bangkok...penge pasalubong (hwehehehe)

ang ganda nung cd. Nakakatuwa eh...right now we're choosing pictures for her cd cover. "Coming Home with Kyna" is the title of her cd...we named it after her favorite song "Home". I've been Kyna's voice coach for 5 years...sobra...ang tagal na. She's a born performer talaga...napanood na sha ni Ivy sa ISM. It's a new experience for her and I am really happy to be part of it.

tired!!!

It's been a looong and tiring week for me. My friend's (Maita) father died of cancer last thursday, the same day my mom was brought to the hospital (her bp went up...180/110) and decided it's best to admit herself to the hospital. Sobra na ang pag-a-alala ko...nasa cab ako nun on my way to the hospital...and I was praying...kasi di ko na ata kaya na 2 ang maso-stroke. Tama na yung isa (my dad had a stroke last october '03). Nung dumating naman ako sa hospital...bumaba na yung bp ni Nanay. After a while...umuwi na ren si nanay...dumating na ren si kuya. Di na namen pina-alam sa tatay ko...ayaw na namin shang mag-alala.
Next day...(friday) after teaching...nagpunta naman ako sa wake ng dad ni Maita. Nakita ko ren yung mga iba ko pang friends sa conservatory.
Saturday night...ni-libre ko si kuya ko sa Sm Manila...tsaka bumili ako ng Inuyasha Dvd. Okay naman...masaya...nagre-relax relax kami. On our way home we recieved an sms from nanay saying our uncle (older brother ni nanay) died of a heart attack. We hurried home to comfort nanay.
Sunday...nagpunta sila sa bulacan para makipag-lamay...di ako nakasama kasi ang dami-dami kong naka-schedule na students that day. Tapos...pin-ractice ko pa yung "choir" na kakanta dun sa wedding nung friend ko.
Monday...dapat pupunta kaming lahat sa wake...kaso...mataas den bp ni kuya...tapos pagod den si nanay. Kaya...sa bahay na lang kami...pahinga.
Tuesday...last day ng paglalamay...lahat kaming magpi-pinsan nagkita-kita sa bulacan.
Wednesday....we all got up early...para makipag-libing...pagtapos nun...di na kami nag-stay sa bulacan coz I still have to teach and also attend my student's play in CCP.
Sumama si Maita sa aken manood sa CCP ng "A Midsummer Night's Dream"...kung san isa sa "chorus" yung student ko. :)
After the show...Maita and I had dinner...tapos hinatid ko na sha pauwi.
That's It....that was last night...and today....i'm looking forward to see and meet my "CHOIR-VOICES" again.

Ang Bilis...!!!

Ang bilis nang araw....sobra...wedenesday na naman...parang katatapos lang ng saturday eh. O well....dami talagang gagawin ngayon. Hirap kapag ganitong summer sobra daming students...di ko alam paano aayusin sched ko. Good thing is...libre na yung afternoon sched ko for next week and Holy week...kaya pwedeng makapag-badminton!!!!

I visited my "bes" short for bestfriend. Umuwi na sha from Japan...kaso nagkaroon sha ng ulcer kaya...kawawa naman. Nasa bahay lang sha. Hay...nagpunta ko sa kanila...and then we talked..and talked...kung ano na balita sa iba naming ka-batch sa conservatory. Hay...time flies...parang dati...fisrt year college pa lang kami.

Nakooo...si bes madaming "bloopers"...hwahaha...I reckon there was this time...we went to our teacher's(National Artist for Music Lucresia Kasilag) house...shempre madami shang pictures na naksabit...aba ito ba namang si bes humirit ng "Ay, ang ganda nyo po dito...parang natutulog lang" HWAHAHAHAHA

Last night Rye and I watched the advance screening of 50 first dates tickets courtesy of a good friend NEO!!! Tenchoooooo!!!!
The story is really sweet...(made me cry) and very very funny...(made me cry...laughing!!!)
Iba talaga ang chemistry ni Drew and Adam Sandler!!!!WAAAA...super sweet talaga nitong movie na 'to!!!
I'd say it's "for the boooks". Ang saya!!!!

Progress Report

I've been busy lately...doing my progress report on my students. Every year kasi sa recital nagbibigay ako ng awards...Most Diligent, Most Promising, and Student Of the Year. Shempre para maiwasan ang pulitika, mas maganda kung merong progress report sa mga bata para alam den nung parents kung ano ba'ng nangyayari sa mga anak nila.
Medyo taxing nga lang kasi...hirap den mag-bigay ng grade noh!!! Eh lahat pa naman ng students ko mga mababait and nag-aaral mabuti...haay. Dito ko na ren nilalagay kung saan candidate ang mga student ko...kung candidate for "student of the year, most promising,diligence".
It's a good motivation and insentive sa mga students kong mababait!!!! :D

Day OfF!

Ako yung taong walang Day Off....pero kahapon...nag-day-off ako. Di ako nagturo...la lang...I guess I was too tired. Punong-puno yung weekend sched ko...na-drain na siguro ako. Well, after playing badminton...nag-linis lang ako ng bahay and bummed around. Nanood ng t.v....i tried to sleep early...1am na ang huling oras na nakita ko sa relo before I dozed off.
Well...ngayon balik ulet sa pagtuturo. I'm all charged up!

Babad

9:00am till 11:30am...nagbabad kami ni Ivy and Maita sa court. Pero parang bitin pa ako...gusto ko pa ulet maglaro tomorrow.
Hwehehe...kinareer na talaga!!!
Nami-miss ko si Kuya Garry ko...di ko nakita kahapon...sayang manonood sana kami ng "Gothica" or "Something's Got to Give"...O well...mamaya sana pwede si Kuya ko.

HAppY BEERDaY JOE!

I'll be off from work by 9pm...Si Ivy naman 10pm. So may isang oras pa ako para magpahinga. Dun lang ako sa grounds ng Alexandra...biding my time...come 9:45pm, I went out of the Condominium, nag-antay na ako ng cab. Mga ilang minuto nagdaan...lumapit sa aken yung guard ng Alexandra. Apparently merong airport cab na "nadisregard" and he was willing to bring me kung saan man ako pupunta. Walang metro...white ford lynx car. I said to myself...hmmm..."not bad". Tsaka medyo 9:55pm na...malapit na'ng lumabas si Ivy. So...kinuha ko na yung airport cab. Fetched Ivy...and Off to Libis. Haay...naligaw kami dahel hindi kabisado ni "manong driver" yung daan papuntang Libis.
Nakarating den naman kami...ang na-inform sa amin ni JOE dun daw sa "THE BASEMENT".
Ang daming nakapila...I was just trying to get through when Ivy whispered..."Ayun si Joe oh" lingon...lingon and then I saw him...wow....iba talaga pag birthday ah...naka-"japorms" si birthday boy!!! He was surrounded by his friends...his back turned at us. Ginulat namen ni Ivy....at ayun tumatayo mula sa mga upuan...si A-ann!!!
It was so nice to meet another crabbie...pinakilala den kami ni Joe sa mga college tropa nya sa Org nilang "Outdoor Recreational Group"...i can't remember the exact name...pero parang ganyan ang dating. Lahat ng miyembro bukod kay Joe eh mula sa UP Diliman. Pagkatapos naming maghanap ng ibang malilipatan dahel punong-puno na ang "THE BASEMENT" at sa loob pala ang mga upuan nasa loob ng parang "boat"...na may foam. In other words..mababasa kami kung sakaling doon kami magpupunta. Parang foam party sa Ibiza siguro ang dating nun sa loob. Anyway...wala namang may gustong mabasa sa aming lahat kaya napagkasundan ng grupo na sa "Amoeba" na lang magpunta. Dun kami sa 2nd floor. Maliit lang...may stage sa harap para sa banda...
Dumating yung Band for their second set...kaming lahat naman naka-first set na ng san mig light.
Unang kanta "Because Of You" by Keith Martin...haaay...di mashado natuwa ang crowd.
YUng "crowd" nga pala ay..."KAMI"... pagtapos nun nag-shift na sa hip hop/r and b? yung mga tinugtog nung band...nagulat na lang ako...nagtatayuan na sina A-ann at iba pang mga ka-org ni JOE. SASAYAW??? hwehehe...ang alam ko lang sayaw eh..."heel and toe, step-close- step....still...nakisayaw na ren kami ni Ivy.
It was an experience....atsaka natuwa nang husto ren yung mga tao sa "Amoeba". Binigyan nila si Joe ng complimentary iced tead...kasi ngayon lang daw naging masaya dun sa "Amoeba"...kaya laking pasasalamat nila kay birthday boy.
By 12:30midnight...medyo napapagod na ako...ganun den si Ivy...pareho den kasi kaming galing from work. Tapos ako maaga pa ang turo ko the next day...si Ivy may office pa ren. By 1am...nagpa-alam na kami sa grupo. Medyo Lo bat na kaming dalawa eh beso kami kay A-ann (kapatid nya pala si Oshie, di ko alam)...Joe was very kind to accompany us hanggang dun sa hintayan ng cab. When we were bidding our "farewells"...hwehehe...inabot namen yung gift namen. Nagulat sha...di nya akalin siguro na may gift kami. Nakakatuwa...kasi...alam namen masaya si Joe nung birthday nya.
We parted ways...light hearted.

paglakad-lakad namen ng konti..nakaramdam ako ng gutom...di pa pala ako nakakapag-dinner, gutom den si Ivy. Buti na lang at isang bote at kalahating beer lang ang nainom namen ni Ivy. So, kumain muna kami sandali...tapos sumakay na ng cab. Sobra na ang pagod ni Ivy...namumula na ang mata, wawa naman. Paglingon ko...tulog na. Hinayaan ko na lang at ako na lang nagturo sa cab driver kung saan patungo sa amin.
Hinatid ko si Ivy hanggang sa kanila....tapos derecho na sa amin.
Pagod na kaming dalawa...kasi ako, pagtapos ng gimmick...lagi akong nagpapadala ng text...thanking the people that I've been with for a wonderful time. Kaso...sa sobrang pagod ni hindi ko man lang na-text ng goodnight si Ivy. Eh ganun den si Ivy di na nakapag-text. Kaya alam ko....pagod kaming dalawa.

Ewan ko ba...pagdating ko sa kwarto ko...di pa ren ako makatulog. Nakauwi ako sa bahay around 2:30 am...di ako dalawin ng antok. Gusto ko sana i-post na sa blog ko yung event that night...but I was too tired to think. Bumaba ako at nilinis ang sala...4:00am na...wala pa ring antok. Bumalik na ako sa kwarto...pinilit kong ipikit ang mga mata ko.

7:00am nagising na ako. Okay na ko!!!

Mortal na KAAWAY

3 IPIS...nakita ko...magkaka-iba ang direksyon nang pang-gagalingan...ipis number 1.dirty kitchen door where i'm facing 2. on the wall to my left 3. on the sink to my right. Hwaaaa...panic!!!! I anticipated their first move...alam ko na gagawin ng mga yun...lilipad...dadapo!!!! HWAAAAAA!!!!
Tumakbo ako sa sala...to get my dad's slipper (bigay ko sa kanya nung xmas...slipper na korteng isda...malaki...malapad--->tamang-tama). Inuna ko...si ipis #3...SWAT! Patay...tapos lumipad si ipis #2...papunta sa aken...(hwehehe...sumisigaw ako)..takbo ulet sa sala...dumapo sa calendar...SWAT! Patay! Isa na lang ang natitira...I have to go back to the kitchen...nakahanda na ang kamay ko...nakataas habang tangan ang malaking tsinelas....lumipad na naman si ipis #1!!!! Nag-landing sa upuan...I took my chance....SWAT!!!! Patay!!! Patay silang 3!!!! Tagumpay!!!! Tagumpay....!!!!
Aatakihen ata ako sa puso dun sa tatlong yon.
Anyway...i thought...hmmm...madaming ipis...pihadong malapit nang umulan. Bumalik ako sa sala...tapos umakyat na sa taas after some time...then my brother arrived from choir practice. we had dinner together.
After dinner...i was in the mood to play the piano. I went to the sala...sat on my piano chair...and i started playing beethoven's 5th symphony arranged for piano...tapos...to my utter DISGUST...may ipis #4 na naglanding sa ulo ko!!!!

Isa nanamang ma-aksyong tagpo ang nangyari...habang tumitili...(ala-mariah carey) lumapag ang nahihilong ipis #4 sa piano keyboard...mabilis kong hinablot yung tsinelas ni tatay sa paanan ng hagdan...tumakbo papalapit sa piano....SWAT! PAtay kang IPIS ka!!!!
Di na ako..nag-piano...umakyat na ako dito sa taas...ni-lock ang pinto. Wala na..wala nang ipis....

Busy...busy...

Whew!!! From Saturday till yesterday I've been teaching...practically from seven am till eight pm. Haay nakakapagod!
So...3 days..nope make it 4 days na akong walang badmnton. and I feel like I'm gaining weight again...or is it just my imagination? Basta desidido na talaga akong mag lose ng weight. Para mas healthy...ngayon...talaga, naisip ko...HEALTH is WEALTH.
Time flies...2nd day of March na!!! Ang bilis!!! Sobra!!! I'll be planning for this year's recital...my 5th!!! YEY!....Oops...now I feel OLD. 5 years....5 years of staging recitals....ang tagal na.
CELEBRATE!!!! I have to!!! I want to!!!! 5 years is not nothing...5 years!!! 5 years!!!!! (para na akong sirang plaka)

Basta...this year's recital's gonna be a lot different...it's gonna be MY way Of CELEBRATING my 5th year in staging recitals...woohooo!!!!

VOICES

first day of rehearsals for "VOICES". Mostly just telling them our future plans and concerts. Na-miss ko yung choir. Na-miss ko yung mga kanta. Yung "bonding". Although...konti lang ang dumating...ang dami ko pang sopas na natira...Ayaw naman kasi nilang mag-take home ng sopas. Next week...start na talaga nung rehearsals. Maganda yung naihanda kong repertoire. We will be singing christian and pop songs arranged for 4 voices.
Shempre...hinahanda ko na ren yung choir para sa next chorale competition. Sasali ulet kami!!!!

my favorite line in the movie "ice castles". I borrowed its vcd from my student. The last time I saw it was when I was in grade One together with my cousin. They watched it in school (nanalo kasi sila sa newspaper drive). Waaa...naiyak ako. I kinda forgot the story...tapos kanina habang pinapanood ko...naalala ko ren nung grade one ako...kasama ko si "ate Miriam"(my cousin). I remember she cried...also her friends. Di ko nai-intindihan noon ba't sila naiyak. Tapos ako ngayon ang naiyak.
Naging iyakin na ko!!!

Early Morning Dilemma

nakow!!! napurnada ang badminton ko...had a bad bad case of tummy ache. Sobra!!!!
Anyway...around 8am I was okay. Turo na ako! yey!

i know..i should be hitting the sack. I just can't help it...I feel the urge to open my blog. I just have to!
Haay...pati sa badminton...sabi ko kanina "1hour..lang then alis na"...I didn't notice the time. Syet...yung 1 hour naging 1 1/2 hrs. Hala!!! I missed one student. Buti na lang Holiday tomorrow...I scheduled a make up lesson.
But i really should be going to sleep...cause I have an early game tomorrow (6 a.m.) TODO na to!!!

I've been playing badminton for 4 straight days (started last friday). Talk about being "addicted" to the sport. Today...wala munang laro...bloggie muna...then teach...

Today's the audition day of my ISM students for this year's "showcase" (showcase of talents)...both Winnie and Kyna are going to try out for Piano/Voice and also Dance. I hope they get in.

Tomorrow's a holiday but I'll be working...not bad!!!

valentine's day has passed....didn't do much. Played badminton in the morning and went straight to work...work...and work...then attended church service....then work again. Still, i didn't mind that i spent my valentine's day this way.......true!


There's a new badminton court in our place...i'm quite excited to play and try out their courts. It'll be soooo much convenient for me and my friends to play there. Heck! I'll have lots of badminton buddies then. I have 1 constant badminton buddy (ivy) she has improved a lot...i'll be teaching her how to "shadow play" so that she can work on her "foot work". oh my..here i go again...coaching...though I'm really not that good a player...hmmm...maybe there's something about me and teaching...i can't help it!!!!

My bestfriend is coming home from japan!!!! I hope she was able to buy those anime (Inu Yasha) stuffs. I am so...like...addicted to it!!!!

i am using my own pc...although it's really really old (2nd hand ko lang nabili) still...it's mine. and hindi sha nagha-hang...kaso mas mabilis talaga yung isa...yung nasa kwarto ko.

Not much has happened to me today...nothing special i mean...just taught winnie (my piano student)...i love teaching her coz she really loves to play the piano and really talented. We have fun!!!
