OTLUM

Matagal ko nang gustong isulat ito...ewan ko ba kung baket hindi natutuloy. Sa wakas my dear fwends...eto na...OTLUM

Year 1990 nung umalis kami sa aming ancestral house (naks! Parang mansyon ang dating) at lumipat sa kanto ng hernandez at kasarinlan st. Sa silong lang ang inupahan nila "Mama at Papa"...hwehehe...2 ang kwarto...bungalow. Okay naman dahel malaki ang garden at banyo.
Ang landlord namen sa "taas" nakatira...hermit sha. Minsan lang lumabas. May mga pagkakataong sobra ang pagkagulat ko kasi di namen nararamdaman ang kilos nya...tapos andun na pala sa gilid mo. Kaya nabansagan namin shang "OTLUM".
Nanirahan kami sa kantong iyon ng hernandez at kasarinlan sa loob ng 10 taon.

Year 2000 ng November lumipat kami sa tapat na apartment (kung saan kami naninirahan ngayon) Medyo nahirapan akong mag-adjust sa layo ng nilipatan namen. (hwehehe) Sa paglipat namin...ang dating masaya at magulong silong sa tapat na kanto ng hernandez at kasarinlan ay nanahimik.

Tuloy ang gulong ng buhay...paminsan-minsan nate-tyempuhan ko si "OTLUM" na lumalabas at bumibili ng ulam, nag-i-igib ng tubig.
Last thursday...may naamoy si Kuya Garry at Kuya Toto (aking kinakapatid) na "amoy patay na daga" sa daan malapit sa kanto...(nakatira si Kuya Toto sa tabi nang lumang bahay). Naisip nila...malamang nalunod yung daga sa lakas ng ulan at namatay sa imburnal.
Pagdating ng sabado...despedida sa bahay nila Kuya Toto...aalis na sha at ang buong pamilya papuntang Canada...pero di maipagkakaila...ang amoy...andun pa ren...mas malakas. Di na natiis pa...naisip ni Kuya Toto na baka sa lumang bahay (dati naming tinitirhan) naroon ang daga.
Inakyat nya ang bahay ni "OTLUM" kinatok...at sa kanyang pag-pasok...bumulaga ang malungkot na katotohanan...

Si "OTLUM" ay wala na...nag-de-decompose na ang katawan nya nung makita ni Kuya Toto...dali-daling tumawag sa funeraria. Di na sha binurol...crinemate na lamang...at ngayon naisip ko...ang hirap mabuhay ng mag-isa...malungkot hanggang sa huli.

Sa umaga ko lang tinatanaw ang luma naming bahay...kasama sa masasaya at nakaktuwang ala-ala naming pamilya ang aming kani-kaniyang eksperyensa sa pagkagulat kay "OTLUM"...sumalangit nawa ang yong kaluluwa.

"wala lang" is my term for doing things that I don't feel the need to explain myself. Let's blame it on the weather...or my hormones WHATEVER! "Wala lang".

CUT,COPY,and PASTE!

"VOICES" choir members spent a good 3 hours of cutting, copying (each other's style and design...hwehehe) and pasting their costumes for my may28 recital. They will stand as the trees and do back-up vocals for my voice students' production number "THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT".

Hwahaha...sobra...kalat na naman sa bahay. pero masaya pa ren..pagandahan sila ng mga "trees" nila. Hwehehe...kakatuwa...sumakit ata tiyan ko sa kakatawa. After that we practiced (a little) and ate (a lot :D)

PICTURE TAKER PARA MA-REMEMBER

Last Sunday May16,2004 some members of "voices" (Our church's show choir-->taught by Me..) went out to have our pictures taken. We were supposed to go to rockwell which is nearest our place...but the studio only allows 3-5 people in one group picture. Eh...13 kaya kaming lahat?!? Anyway...we agreed to go to rob's place manila instead. We had our pictures taken at Great Image studio...not really posh-posh studio...but what the heck...we had F-U-N!!!
I need the pictures for my recital's souvenir programme. I included them in my recital. So those who will watch my recital will get to hear and see them perform. (Pressure...pressure)

ISM Dance Recital

Just got home from ISM...where I watched some of my students perform in their "dance Recital". It was really Kyna( a student of mine) who invited me. The first dance was by ISM Dance co. and they danced to Josh Groban's "you raise Me Up"!!! Ang galing-galing...they had a guest dancer an alumna who is now hosting disney channel "nikki muller". Ang galing ng sayaw...i almost cried...nadala na ako sa sayaw..pati sa boses ni Josh! Ay sus!

Then...I watched my students namely Kyna, Winnie and cindy do their stuffs on stage. Nakakatuwa...tsaka..naisip ko...iba talaga kapag "privilideged" lahat mapag-a-aralan.It was a good show.

After the show...Kyna's family and I together with teacher Roy (Kyna's dance teacher)had dinner at zong's...tsalap lalo na kapag libre.

Then they dropped me at glorietta where I got a cab and went home.

Election Day and HERMES is HOME!!!

I got up really early today to vote...cause i have to teach right after! Hahaha...sobra todo arangkada sa pagta-trabaho! Wala mashadong cabs na buma-biyahe
kaya pinakaiusapan ko si Kuya Garry (na may halo deng "blackmail" hehehe) na ihatid ako sa Corinthian Gardens in Ortigas. My mom came with us...gustong mag-joyride. On our way..napadaan sila sa Gloria Jeans Cafe (ang EuREKA..) naisip ko tutal one hour lang naman ako sa Corinthians...ba't di na lang nila ako antayin sa gloria Jeans at sunduin?

Proposed i Did...and...they fell for it! Hook, Line and sinker (kaso ako nagbayad ng breakfast nila) :( mga wise den! After teaching...we all decided to visit Hermes (my shih tzu) at the Makati Dog and Cat Hospital. Sabi nung attending Vet na si Dr. Carlos...Hermes'had UTI (urinary track infection) di naman daw ma-pin-point kung ano yung cause kasi madami daw. Para ding sa tao...kung minsan nagkaka-UTI na madaming pwedeng cause non. Anyway, what the doctor said was the real real GOOD NEWS Hermes' ready to be discharged!!!! YEY!!!! So, Dr. Carlos gave some prescriptions, after that...inayos na ren yung bill ni Hermes.

Okay....ang mahal ng bill. DI ko na ilalagay ang figures. Basta, mahal (kasi kung hindi mahal...di ko i-indahen) pero okay lang basta maayos ang lagay ni Hermes!!! After paying...we went to the drugstore just beside the hospital for Hermes' needs. Ang sigla-sigla na ni Hermes...sabi nga nung mga nurses don (o diba? Ospital na ospital) uwing-uwi na si Hermes. Sa drugstore...nagti-tinda ren ng mga apparel at kung ano pang ka-ek-ekean para sa mga pets. And...I got Hermes some boots!!!! YEY!!!
We tried it on her...she looked so cute with those brown boots. Pang lakad nya para maiwasang madumihan ang paa...kasi dine-worm den si Hermes. Meron deng worm na nakita.

O well...Hermes' home now...and I feel "complete" again. Na-miss ko yung alaga kowe.

RECITAL VENUE

HAAAAAAAAAYYYY...this will explain why I am in turmoil!!!....After telling all the parents and all my guests that the recital date and venue's been moved from may21,2004 6pm stpaulpasig to may28,2004 csb theater...I GOT A CALL...actually 2 calls in 1 day!

1. From Sister Cora (of stpaul) saying the theater is now open...so if I'm still looking for a venue...okay na ulet sa pasig
--> sa aken...ayoko na mag-palit-palit pa...nasabi ko na sa lahat na csb so...i just thanked sister cora and told her that i've already booked dlsu-csb's theater.

2. From DLSU-CSB...Mr. Soriano (head of the teather..etchos etchos blah-blah-blah-blah) saying he is sorry but the CSB theater is not available on the 28th cause the college will use it fro the freshmen orientation.

---> Nyek...pagkatapos kong tumanggi kay sister ito naman makukuha ko. So I explained to Mr. Soriano that the recital will be at 6pm pa naman...wala naman na sigurong klase non. So, okay...kaso he will charge 5k per hour at walang libreng set up rehearsal....so mga 7hrs ang dapat kong bayaran.

HELLO!!!! I charge my students 1,200php per participant...just enough to pay for the costs of the venue, printing of programmes, certificates, tsaka yung medals and trophies.

MAG-A-ABONO pa ako kung sakali...so I have no other choice but to book STPAUL PASIG's Arts Hall again....

at sana...this time wala nang aberyang mangyari....

sobra...nape-pressure ako!!! Harrassed even.

Hermes confined

Last night...nag-vomit si Hermes...pero konting konti lang...so i thought baka...napadami ng kain. Kaso today...during breakfast and lunch...after eating nag-poo si Hermes...wet. Hindi maganda. I cancelled all my classes today and rushed her to the vet. Dinextrose na si Hermes at ngayon naka-confine sa Makati Dog and Cat Hospital sa gilid lang ng rockwell.
I called around 6pm to check on her...sabi nung vet...it can be 3 things: option 1.worms 2. something she ate 3. parvo.....I Hope it's not parvo...kasi...mahirap yung virus na yon. I've lost 4 dogs to parvo....ayokong isiping may parvo si Hermes.

Bukas 10am sabi nung vet tumawag daw ulet ako sa clinic.....

I'm saaaddd...and worried....

EB sa bahay

Haay...ngayon ko lang mapo-post toh...my own version.

ang inuna ko ay...maglinis ng maglinis (inabot ng araw ang general cleaning) na hindi halata dahel magulo pa ren ang bahay nung nagsidatingan ang aking mga bisita sa aming "mansyon" hwehehe.

Next...MENU!!! Dahel gagawa naman na si Fiona ng sisig...I decided to cook my own ispeyshalty...ISTAPEGI!

Then...shempre...inihanda ko ang materials (baket pa sa amin magpupuntahan kung hindi ren magpa-praktis...tsaka...seryoso nga ako sa pagkanta) --> Ei...Z!!! kelangang pakantahin mo kami...no pressure ;)
I prepared 2 songs...fisrt one would be for the couple 1. I'll Never Say Goodbye theme from "the Promise" 2. The Lion Sleeps Tonight--> this would be for Zizzy'z Baby :). Photocopied 10 copies! Okay... :)

When friday came...hinanda ko na ren ang videoke...at niluto na ang istapegi. Madami ang nag-text na male-late...kaya naman may oras pa ako para magpahinga. Finally...I got an SMS from Lino saying he's in Jollibee...so I went there to meet him and soon enough the others came. Sumunod Kay Lino si Aves and Kim, then si Ronnie, Marlon and the two Jeffs. I'll call them Jeff1-->Bombero and Jeff2-->toink. SO, ayun...nag-convoy na kami papasok sa aming "village" hwehehe...pagdating namin sa bahay nandun na si Kuya Garry, who just came home from a church meeting (na dapat andun den ako pero nag-absent na lang). Pinapasok ko na sila sa loob at...shempre pa...binigyan na sila ng mga kopya ng kanta. Dumating na ren agad si ivy...pwede nang mag-umpisa.

Praktis agad!!! I really don't want to waste anyone's time...tsaka naja-jahe den kasi ako kay aves eh...alam ko kasi super pagod na sila. Okay...ang ganda ng boses ni Aves...tamang-tama dahel sha lang ang soprano at that time. posh-pies and skyefio were still in the office then. Tinuro ko lang muna each voice para dun sa 1st song...medyo mahirap kasi. Then we proceeded to the next song...Hala...tawa sila ng tawa...mukhang nag-enjoy naman kumanta ng "Wim-O-Weh"...hahaha...it was a fun song.

After the practice...Aves and Kim had to leave early cause they still have to study and get some sleep and then work...so...ayun...maaga sila umuwi pero bago namen (muntik) makalimutan...shempre kumuha muna kami ng souvenir pic...na-extra pa yung alaga kong shih tzu na si Hermes.

Shempre...kainan na....ang sarap nung sisig talaga ni fiona...with matching sizzling plate pa...yuuummmy!!!
Mukhang nabusog naman ang aking mga bisita...pero mga tsong sa susunod ...magpa-inom naman kayo...(kahet tig-i-isa lang shot) madaan sana kayo sa kantyaw hwehehe... ;)

Ang sumunod....walang katapusang kantahan. Lahat kumanta...panalo rendition ni Lino ng "you're still you". Si Marlon naman bumanat ng "Perfect" by Simple Plan...aba...may talent pala...eh kaboses nya kasi yung vocalist nung band na yon....Ang isa sa paborito kong kanta eh yung kinanta ni ROnnie na "i'm a Dick...I'm A Dick...I'm ADDICTED TO YOU"...hwahaha....that was a good one!!!! Pero kidding aside...ang saya nun ah...kahet may konting asaran...wala namang pikunan kaya okay na okay.

2 ang bagong mukhang nakita ko nung gabing yon...si Bombero (jeff1) and toink (jeff2). Nakaktuwa naman si Jeff1 kasi he really made it a point to talk to us all and get to know all of us better...kaya parang matagal ko na shang kakilala. ;)

Nung natapos na ang eb...nag-convoy kami para ma-guide sina Lino palabas ng "village"...hwehehe...kaso tuwing tatanungin ni Kuya Garry kung alam na nya yung daan...laging "di pa eh" ang sagot ni Lino. We were joking inside the car...sabi ko nga "baka di naten namamalayan papasok na pala tayo ng cavite"...hwehehe...shempre di naman nangyari yon dahel pagdating ng South Super Highway eh nag-hiwalay na ren kami...at hinated naman namen si Jeff1 sa p.gil na malapit na malapit kung saan sha nakatira. After that, hinated naemn ni Kuya si posh, skye and rye...este...ayir, fiona and ivy sa kani-kanilang bahay. It was ONE GREAT NIGHT...come to think of it...2 araw na namang inabot yung eb...

I am soooo comfortable with my alimasag buddies...na i offered my house for practice venue...kasi...pag maga kaibigan mo ang darating (kahet maliit ang bahay) okay lang...kasi mga kaibigan ko sila. And...sa totoo lang...i hope they see and feel that I am their friend too.

hwehehe...napa-drama tuloy ako...KUYA BANANA...mukhang magkakaroon ka ng katapat sa drama...;)
